Cable Connectors (S) - (L)

Question

Q: The connectors are sold by the pair. Is the pair either 2 of small or 2 of large? That is, to clarify, not one of each size; right? The photo has 1 of each size, but the ordering is one size or the other.

Q: If I only have a red cable that has LARGE ends, can I use the connectors to connect small tip needles ( 2-8) to that cable? I am knitting an afghan and have 50 inch cable but want to use my smaller ( Size 4 needle tips.

No, the connectors are only made to connect 2 cables of the same join size together. ChiaoGoo does make adapters which allow you to connect tips and cables with different join sizes together. However, these adapters are only available in 2 sizes: L-to-S (Large join tip to Small join cable) and S-to-M (Small join tip to Mini join cable).

Hi Mary,

These connectors connect either the Small (S) cables together or the Large (L) cables together depending upon which connector "S" or "L" that you purchase.

They do not convert large ends to a small end, sorry about that.

If you are trying to connect the "L" size tips US-9 through US-15 you can use a "L to S adapter" that is sold separately that will connect "L" tips to a "S" cable.
