Knitter's Pride Zing Special Tips are designed to produce circulars in 16" (40cm) length. Each tip measures 4" (10cm) and is to be used with cord of 8" (20cm) length.
Note: Total length of 16'' is achieved when tips and cord are joined together.

I have an interchangeable set of Knitter's Pride Zings in sizes 4-10. Will these individual short needles work with my existing cables? I just need a couple smaller sizes.

Q:
My smallest Knitter's Pride bamboo tips (US 2.5 and 3) are bending and/or breaking. Love the idea of metal but prefer some grip. Is the Zing finish smooth and slick, or matte?

They're smooth and slick, but not as slick as some of our other needles. If you need something with more grip I would recommend the Karbonz, which are extremely strong but have more grip than metal needles.

Q:
I purchased Knitters Pride 3mm and 3.25 mm tips after I bought the set of interchangeables that come with the cords. It seems like the cord does not quite line up with these smaller needles and it catches on the yarn. Are there different cords for the smaller tips?

Do the 6 inch tips work with longer cords?

Hi Susan,
These 4 inch short tips were designed to be used with the 8 inch cords to make 16 inch circulars. If these short tips are used with longer cords for example, a cord to make a 24 inch circular, your circular will end up being 22 inches long from tip to tip. The longer cords 20 inch through 60 inch were designed to be used with the long or 4.5 inch tips.
