Q: What is the length of the tips on the regular red fixed needles? I'm interested in a sz. 0 and sz. 1 needles with 40" total.

Q: What is the difference between the regular red ChiaoGoo circular needles and the Red Lace ones? Are the needle length different? and if so, what are they for both. I've been using the red lace ones for knitting socks, using magic loop and they might be too long for socks.

Hi Joan, The Chiaogoo Regular Red circulars have more of a regular tip than the ChiaoGoo Red Lace circulars which have sharp tips. I hope this helps and thank you for asking. Tracy, Handsome Fibers.

The Regular Reds have standard tips and ergonomic bends near the joins while the Red Lace have lace tips and straight needle shafts. The needle lengths on the Regular Reds are a bit longer because of the bend.

As to which to use, it's entirely personal preference. Generally, the 40" circular is a good length to do magic loop for socks.
