Q: What is the length of the tips on the regular red fixed needles? I'm interested in a sz. 0 and sz. 1 needles with 40" total.
A: Hi Laurel, The tips are approximately 4-1/2 inches from the tip of the needle to the join of the cable. Thank you for asking. Tracy, Handsome Fibers.
Q: Which chiaos are less sharp?
A: Hi Joan, The Chiaogoo Regular Red circulars have more of a regular tip than the ChiaoGoo Red Lace circulars which have sharp tips. I hope this helps and thank you for asking. Tracy, Handsome Fibers.
Q: What is the difference between the regular red ChiaoGoo circular needles and the Red Lace ones? Are the needle length different? and if so, what are they for both.
I've been using the red lace ones for knitting socks, using magic loop and they might be too long for socks.
A: The Regular Reds have standard tips and ergonomic bends near the joins while the Red Lace have lace tips and straight needle shafts. The needle lengths on the Regular Reds are a bit longer because of the bend.
As to which to use, it's entirely personal preference. Generally, the 40" circular is a good length to do magic loop for socks.
Q: Hi there
Is 40 inch the longest on the chia goo needles in regular the longest? I need it long for the mobias scarf.
A: Hi Anna, The longest in the ChiaoGoo Regular Reds is 40 inches. We do stock the ChiaoGoo Red Lace circulars up through a 60 inch if that helps. The tips are a bit pointier. Thank you for asking. Tracy, Handsome Fibers.
