Hi Patricia, The ChiaoGoo cables only attach to ChiaoGoo interchangeable tips. We have no idea about any other brand and would not recommend it. Thank you for asking. Tracy, Handsome Fibers.

To make a 16" circular you will need 4" tips and an 8" cable. You can NOT make a 16" circular with 5" tips. Attaching them (the 5" tips) to the 8" cable will make an 18" circular and you'll barely be able to bring the tips together to knit with.

Hi Debra, Thank you for your question. The Blue Shortie set, tip sizes US-4 through US-8 have the (S) or small join ChiaoGoo X-Flex Blue cables in the set. They are located in our store here - https://www.handsomefibers.com/ChiaoGoo-BLUE-X-Flex-Extra-Flexible-Cables-S-Join - Any of the other ChiaoGoo cables including the new Swivel cables will attach to these Shortie tips US-4 to US-8 as long as you select the cables with the (S) small join when purchasing.
