Q: I like to knit 2 at a time socks on a long cable. Can these shortie needle tips work with a long 40 inch twist cable? Will I need a cable converter? Also, will these shortie needle tip sets be available individually?

Q: I’m confused about what is available in a combo pack. Will there be a set that includes all sizes 000-8 or are the larger sizes available in a pack like the smaller sizes or do you have to purchase the larger needles individually? Also there’s a line that reads “They will contain one size of both length tips” does this mean you one needle in a 2” and one needle in a 3” per size needle?

The cords in this set measure 5", 6", and 8" in length. All lengths use the Mini join size. Additional or longer cables can be purchased separately - the Mini join cables go up to 37" in length.

The new ChiaoGoo shortie tips up to a size US-3 will fit all of the current ChiaoGoo Mini Twist cables, 8 inch through 37 inch. This would be an option for you.

The Mini Twist cables are located here:

These new tips will not fit the ChiaoGoo Twist regular cables (S) and (L) join types. There is no adapter for the shortie tips at this time to connect this way.

Each of the combo packs will have one pair of 2" long tips and one pair of 3" long tips of the same needle size (e.g. US 3) :)

SHORT COMBO PACKS will be available for separate purchase. They will contain one 2" (5 cm) tip and one 3" (8 cm) tip plus one 5" (13cm) and one 6" (15cm) cable as well as tightening keys to make 9" (23 cm) and 12" (31 cm) circulars.

The combo packs will be sold individually in sizes US-000 through US-8.

SHORT COMBO PACKS will be sold individually per US size.

Retail price $22.00 (USD) per pack will also be available for separate purchase. They will contain one size of both length tips plus one 5" (13cm) and one 6" (15cm) cable as well as tightening keys.

While the Shorties set only includes tip sizes US-0 through US-3 (2 - 3.25mm) these Shortie tip Combo Packs (sold separately) will be available in sizes US-000 through US-8 (1.5 - 5mm). Sizes US-000 through US-3 Combo Packs (sold separately) available in May. Sizes US-4 through US-8 Combo Packs (sold separately) are available late 2018.
